Over the period of fifteen years, Liberia experienced a devastating civil war, which led to killings, destruction of properties and etc. As the result of the civil war, separation of children from families and or guidance, the abandonment of children by family members, death and disappearance of parents, became the game of the day. The sad news, many parents left this world earlier and were unable to see their children first birthday.
Moreover, the war destroyed infrastructures such as schools; churches and the list goes on.
The Lord’s Prayer academy was established in 2006 as a study class; starting with ABC students.
A year later, grade one was added on. The school quickly grew as years went by. In 2011, The Lord’s Prayer Academy graduated it’s first grade 12th students. We have been blessed over the years and God’s blessings continue to be visible.
The plan is to keep the school at a high school level for the next three years. During this time, we hope to improve the learning quality by including a science lab, a library and a computer Lab.
In the years to come, it is our plan to add on Technical College to the school’s curriculum. It is our dream that when this technical College is added that the students will have better opportunity to continue education in higher learning and/or technical schooling..
